Legal-Plot automates precision plotting for legal descriptions across all 30 states surveyed under the Township-Range-Section system.
Township-Range-Section
Legal descriptions in these states reference the Township-Range-Section grid to identify parcels. Legal-Plot parses every variation of this format.
Bureau of Land Management
The BLM maintains the official survey data and authoritative corner coordinates used as the foundation for precision plotting.

15 States with BLM Accuracy Data
These states include official government accuracy values from the Bureau of Land Management for survey corner coordinates. When Legal-Plot geo-locates your description, every corner reports its BLM accuracy classification so you know the quality of the coordinate.
All 30 Supported States
Legal-Plot parses and plots legal descriptions across all 30 states surveyed under the Township-Range-Section system. Accuracy data is not yet available for every state, but the full parsing, plotting, closure analysis, and export pipeline works everywhere.
PLSS Principal Meridians
The Township-Range-Section system is divided into 37 principal meridians, each covering a specific region of the country. Every legal description references one of these meridians as its coordinate foundation — it is the origin point from which all Township (north-south) and Range (east-west) measurements are taken. Legal-Plot automatically identifies the correct meridian from the description text and uses BLM survey data anchored to that meridian's grid.
