Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and profile information through Clerk, our authentication provider.

Uploaded documents: Legal descriptions, title commitments, PDFs, and other documents you submit for processing.

Payment information: Credit card and billing information is collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

Usage data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including legal description text you submit, projects you create, plot results, and feature usage.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, log files, and session activity for security and performance purposes.

Derived data: Parsed legal descriptions, generated coordinates, geometry, and mapping outputs derived from your submitted data.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Services
• To process uploaded documents and generate outputs
• To process payments and manage your credit balance
• To authenticate users and manage accounts
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, purchase receipts)

4. Data Processing and Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you upload to the Services, including legal descriptions, survey data, and uploaded documents. By using the Services, you grant Valley Land Surveying PLLC a limited, non-exclusive license to process that data solely to provide the requested functionality. We do not claim ownership of your uploaded content. Output files generated from your input (DXF, KML, GeoJSON, PDF) are yours to use.

5. Data Sharing

We share data with the following service providers to operate the platform:

• Clerk — Authentication and identity management. Handles sign-in, sign-up, and account security. Subject to Clerk's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — Payment processing. Handles all credit card transactions. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI — Used for OCR processing of scanned PDF documents. Document text may be sent to OpenAI's API for extraction. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell personal data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Services. Some data may be retained for legal, accounting, or security purposes after account deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including HTTPS encryption in transit and access controls. No security system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection of your data.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
